New semi-legal punk venue/action center, Mala's, opened with a zine tour and four bands - including local heavy stoner T'hieves', and Florida's bouncy folk punk 'This Bike Is A Pipe Bomb'. Wow.
Great people, music, food, zines, space, buttons, odor, and sweat.
After the show, skinny dipping at Lake Nokomis. About twenty of us riding over together on bikes, and then skin, algae, and moonlight. And sparklers, 'cause I brought a backpack full of them. People from Florida, Connecticut, Portland, San Fran, Boston, and all over Minneapolis enjoying a puddle of water on a gorgeous summer night.
If only I didn't need to work tomorrow...
