What a crazy week! I'm in Las Vegas at the moment. A photographer friend invited me awhile back before I booked my second Haiti trip. She's out here for a family reunion and wanted to travel with a friend. She offered to cover my expenses in exchange for my smile and hugs---a family reunion kinda requires such aftercare. So far it's a leisurely trip of just eating, sleeping, and taking in the sights. However, it's a little stressful knowing I leave for Haiti less than 24 hours after I return to L.A.
So in the meantime I'd like to call out for all the help I can get in gathering supplies for trip #2 to Haiti. The field hospital in Leogane frequently lacks the basics like baby diapers, pregnancy tests, and malaria tests. If anyone can donate any of these I'd greatly appreciate it. I need them by Monday afternoon at the absolute latest. I will also accept cold hard cash or Paypal donations. I can use the funds while I'm in Port Au Prince to buy building supplies. My pet project is sanitation, particularly school toilets. It's kinda hard to pack toilets so I can pick up supplies once I'm abroad.
