I was born & raised under a hectically conservative, right-wing government during South Africa's Apartheid era. All I knew about politics growing up was "sanctions" & "racism".
I was 19 when I cast my first vote. The year was 1994, & it was our country's first democratic elections - the results of which saw the magnificent Nelson Mandela becoming the best president we have ever seen. I love my country & have been voting religiously ever since.
Citizens have NO right to bitch & moan & complain about the sorry state of affairs in their respective countries if they can't even be bothered to drag their lazy hides off to the polling stations to vote
