what a weekend..
drugs, lots of music, fighting about art, good food, good sex, and 'angels in america'.
did anyone else watch it last night? what did you all think?
j and i tried a new drug on friday night. he has done it a few times before, it was a first for me. i have to say i was fairly nervous beforehand, mostly irrational fear that i would have some strange allergic reaction to it.
they ended up just mellowing us out. extremely. i felt some of the described effects, such as increased saliva, muscle twitches (not unpleasant), and minor increased perspiration. and some colors and sounds seemed more intense, especially while i was watching television. but mostly i just felt a little altered, not much different than the feeling of smoking good pot.
j. and i had a very interesting game of 'truth or dare', and i felt pretty lucid for the truth questions and answers. i also dared him to write something he wanted me to know on a piece of paper that i would not read for a month. i am pretty darn curious about that.
the dares gradually got more and more dirty, and the resulting shower and sex was amazing and druggy. we fell asleep afterward at about 1am with the lights on and no covers. i barely remember it happening. i more clearly remember waking up at 7:00, getting up to blow out a candle and crawling back into bed.
so the drug did not produce the trippy experience i was expecting, but it was definitely enjoyable. i am hoping we will try another variety sometime, as i am interested in having more of a trip at some point.

Oddly, there's something almost poetic about the only clear memory you have is of blowing out a candle. Hmm.
