Wheeee! I'm stretching my earlobes to 6ga tonight, I think. I've got the most beautiful 0ga turquoise plugs that I can't wait to wear. I know I have to be patient and take the stretching slowly, but it's SO HARD. Self-restraint and patience are not my strong points.

Wow, I've been busy lately. Tonight is the first time in a week that I've been able to just sit and relax. So, now I'm FINALLY getting around to saying thanks to everyone who wished me well on my birthday. I appreciate it a lot, especially since many of the people whom I consider to be my best friends forgot. I know that I'm way...

Be where and when you are with whomever you're with. Be happy to see her when you do, and forget her when you don't. That's what I do.
Of course, I'm either a Taoist or a sociopath ... or both.

Happy Birthday! Ha ha! You are old!!!! Although not as old as some.
Good luck with the spider-shooter. I think they may be banned by the Geneva Convention.

Life is brutal and has plenty of zasackas! (Polish academic proverb, which is said in English, except for the word zasacka (trap), which follows English-language declension instead of Polish in this particular proverb.) It seems to me that some people say Life is brutal and full of zasackas! instead, but it is all in the spirit.

Last night I realized that taxes are due tomorrow. I began collecting my stuff, but one my my W2s was missing. Great. I tear my apartment to pieces looking, but I don't find it.
I do, however, find that a lovely black widow spider has chosen to escape the rain by setting up camp behind my bookshelves. She has also experience the miracle of giving...

Damn all this rain . . . I have zero energy. I love rain, but when it rains every day for weeks on end, my brain chemistry gets thrown off really badly. I'm a little depressed, but I'll take that over raging black depression any day.

I always liked the way, back in the good old days, that I could love someone madly and two hours later be repulsed and an hour after that feel guilt that poured me down into my seat. Yay brain!
The winters here are interesting but I do like the light shows!!!
Oh, frequency-wise, I dunno, there is usually something around half the clear nights, or a little more often, but nice shows happen 2-4 times a month. There have been several very good ones this season. I missed the red one back around November though.

The dogs are so beautiful. I'm just happy to finally have gotten the pictures into my profile.
I went out and spent $604.95 on a digital camera today
but at least now I'll have pictures to put up. I'll be at the little bull during the week so I will make sure to take some pictures of the store for everyone to see.

I love new pens! I just got a whole package of them, and I'm excited. I'm such a pen snob. I only write with black, fine-point pens with nice fat grippy things. Getting a new one makes me happy.

Pens are the makings of happiness.
Little things? Like that moment right before you fall asleep, where you think about everything at once? Yeah, I'll take that.

haha! I almost thought that said "I love new penis!"
I, too, am a pen snob. I dislike ball points and anything larger than a 0.7mm point. My current favorites are an extra fine Pilot G6 and a Dr. Grip Ltd. Ed. gel, extra fine. I'm one of those weirdos you find in the pen section of the school's bookstore, trying every pen and taking hours to decide which to buy.
I also happen to be quite fond of Pez dispensers and lip balms.

HOW 'BOUT THOSE LADY BEARS??????
CONGRATS TO BAYLOR--HEEEEEEEYYYYYYYY, SIC 'EM BEARS!!!!!!!!!!
I was a Lady Bear in my past life (crew, not basketball), so our NCAA championship is really sweet for me. Especially since people say that we don't belong in the Big XII. Here's proving that brains and brawn aren't mutually exclusive categories!

Not really a fan of college sports. ( sorry I didn't have anything to say to this post
but I wanted to say...HI )

deadandburied:
Yep, yall have that and Baylor beat my Aggies in football this year. That was really painful. Anyways congrats to Baylor.
Crap! I need an April Fool's prank to play on my class, but time is running out. Any ideas? I was thinking of a fake grammar-quiz-from-hell where the last question was "Correct the following sentence: This, is an April Fool's Day joke." That'll waste a lot of class time and paper, though. I hope I can think of something quick, easy, and effective.

How about questions that would use topics of the next class ? Or giving them a pop quiz on today's class ? And, at the end, you could leave the class discreetly, and wait outside to whisper those looking for you `April Fool's ! Duh !'

Two weeks of beeeeyoooootiful weather. I spend it gazing wistfully through the window as I grade and do homework.
Spring break arrives at last.
Temperature drops, rain moves in for the week.
Oh well. I'll just have to stay indoors, drink, and watch movies. Life is still good.

The weather here has turned momentarily nice, and I'm sick and have to stay indoors. We have new neighbors next door, so I was really looking forward to going out and mowing the lawn in nothing but a pair of workboots and an International Harvester cap, too.
