Woo hoo! I'm one of the few people who actually gets today off. Which is why I'm awake hours earlier than usual, I guess. Got to take advantage of the time off and do fun things like get the oil changed and work on my budget so that I can pay parking tickets. Not that I couldn't get up early on a non-holiday and do the same damn things . . .

But, in honor of Dr. King, I'm going to try to do something more meaningful today. I think it's time to reread his "Letter from Birmingham Jail."

What an amazing man. Are there any heroes left, or is that we don't recognize them until it's too late?
