Headed home for Thanksgiving. That's the first time I've been home, period, for two years, and the first time I've been home for Thanksgiving in five.
Going home always leaves me with conflicted emotions. I have very strong emotional ties to the PLACE (the state, city, my house, everything), but the people leave something to be desired (both in and outside of my family.)
But, damn, the food is good. And it's warm. So I can't complain.
My crazy brother is supposed to pick me up from the airport at 5:30am when I arrive. Ha!! Here's hoping I actually get home . . .
