Well, after a lovely morning waking and baking, staring at myself the mirror, and absorbing music from the SG DVD running in the background, I found myself coming to what Constantine (movie) said about God being a kid with an ant farm.

As I'm looking at myself and picking out imperfections, not just the physical ones, I kept thinking God just said one day, "I bestow upon you the potential to be this completely gorgeous creature, but I'm going to make you work for it. I place in front of you hills and mountains, so that when you have finally evolved into my vision you will truly have deserved it.
I give you years of being without comfort in your own skin, crippling uncertainty, and the inability to recognize your potential.
Now it's up to you to peel back the layers and become your true, shiny new self."

Of course this could go for anything and anybody really.
The stoned and lazy.
The talented but too shy.
The depressed genius.
The beautiful but unseen.
The brave yet so weak they can't see the brave.
The Reese cup that slides under the dresser and will never make it into my ice cream.
