My friend Dacia asked me to make a mix for her of songs that just really make you want to dance. The kinda songs that get you even if you hate who made it.
So, while watching a not-so-old Lenny Kravitz video, 'Fly Away', I got the idea to base the whole thing around the look of this video
If you've see it or anything like you'll know what I'm getting at.
I will also accept that Tommy Hilfiger commercial featuring Nikka Costa's, 'Like a Feather'.
So back to the set up.
It's not like the behind the scenes set, more like if that video was a sort of limbo. A limbo where all those gorgeously tragic models are dancing and sweating, some just laying around being beautiful. Yet still somehow they managing to "dance".
And by dance I mean gyrate.
This is truly a guilty pleasures mix, especially for women who find themselves playing along with those videos and kinda fantasize about being there like I do while I'm getting all gussied up to go out.
I had to keep in mind that she likes alot of the stuff that would appear on the Top Ten charts so I know not to put anything too crazy for her. She's a touch conservative and easily embarrassed, so no tracks that are five minutes of someone saying 'pussy'.
I sneak in a few tracks that are a little risque, cause I know she's not as bashful as wants us to think she is.
I also snuck in the some Britney and Madonna tracks to irritate her.
She knows damn well she likes those songs!
