So I just signed up on here last week and this is my first post. I haven't really had a lot to say yet. The purpose of this post is just to express my sorrow for the death of one of my favorite authors, Kurt Vonnegut. I had a chance to see him speak at UGA a couple years ago but he had to cancel due to health reasons and the student union replaced him with Jon Heder. Don't get me wrong, Jon Heder is funny and this was just after Napoleon Dynamite so he hadn't done any of those crappy movies yet. I still went and enjoyed it but it would have been much more memorable for me if I would have been able to see Kurt Vonnegut. And now I'll never have that chance again.

At least he will live on in all of his books. I can only hope that when I'm gone I will have left enough behind to keep the idea of me alive.
