Hopefully it is the end of this damn heat wave. I'm sick of this heat. Can't escape it. The house has a very tiny airconditioner which does nothing in the lounge room, because it is so big. Going to work doesn't escape the heat, the damn air con there is way to shit, being a shopping complex you would think it would be better. The upstairs where I live is a sauna. The fan is blowing on high, it feels like someone has the hair dryer on.
Atm I'm trying to organise my computer, it's a mess, everything is all over the place so i thought i would fix it. This is being done so i can format my hd's and put windows 7 on it. The I can play all my music and movies on my 360.
Now for the venting. If you read my previous blog i was waiting to see if I would be accepted into uni. I didn't get a first round offer so my out look is grim for 2nd round offers. What pisses me right up the wall is the fact that a staff member applied for some of same courses as i did, as well as 1 of her friends. Her friend had filled out all forms and called up the uni to get his name there etc... he did really well in the course he was doing. He didn't get accepted. I applied and thats all i did, as nothing extra was asked, I haven't been to school in quite a few years so my chances are slim of getting accepted without that study history. The staff member applied and did nothing extra that was required like me. she did the same course as her friend but did poorly at it. She was the one that got accepted.
What pissed me off even more on the enrollment day she noticed she had gotten into the double degree my #1 preference. went up and told the person Oh I didn't choose this course i chose the single degree course. so the person doing the enrollments fixed it up and put her in that course instead. To me the school is being bias. Think it's unfair. but then what can i do?
I'm happy for my Staff member but at the same time really jealous.
