Well, I hate to make this first journal entry just me bitching, but it's what's on my mind at the moment.
I'm attending the Brooks Institute of Photography and my second session starts tomorrow. Now, for everyone who doesn't know, the sessions are basically cram sessions that last for seven weeks of just completely hardcore study of one subject at a time. We have breaks between each session, but we also have an assignment during the break that's due the minute we walk in the door of the next class. It kind of sucks, but it also keeps your skills honed and fresh, so it works.
My only gripe about this is the anal retentativeness of the assignments. Everything has to be done just so or it fails. Not only does it fail, but no other assignment during the session will be accepted until the prep week assignment is passed.
With this one, we had to cram negative pages into a space that they didn't fit into all the while trying to make it look "professional" despite the fact that the one presentation form that would've been entirely professional was not allowed. So, we had to use these gimp ass brad folders when a three-ring binder would've looked so much better.
Oh well, class starts at 7AM tomorrow so I had better get to bed. I'll probably have much more to bitch about tomorrow.

We already have two more assignments due, one on friday and one on monday... and I still haven't bought my film... ~runs screaming~
