Had a nice, relaxed weekend with my man. On Saturday afternoon we went through to Clearwater Mall (by far the best shopping centre in the whole of Johannesburg, in our opinion), where I picked up some stuff to start my scrapbook. Then we hired two DVDs (recommended to us by Ronwen): A Night at the Roxbury + Big Fish, & spent a quiet night in. Yesterday afternoon we decided to go see what was happening at the Brightwater Commons. [When we first moved up to Jo'burg we used to rent a townhouse unit just behind the old Randburg Waterfront & have been monitoring every stage of its tranformation from a skanky old dive into the new-&-improved Brightwater Commons]. We were really impressed by the skate park - the newest addition to the complex. Had a late lunch / early supper at McGinty's (our favourite Irish pub), then headed home for an early night. I read the new issue of Home Owner magazine, while Lee surfed the Net. This man is OBSESSESED with anything & everything to do with cars & motorsport! Always has been & probably always will be. I don't have a problem with it. As long as he's not surfing porn sites (without me), then I'm cool with it, hehe! I had to be up at 5:15 this morning. Last week a lot of peeps were still on holiday, but I knew that today most of them were going to be going back to work. And if I don't leave home by 6:30am, I get stuck in the most godawful traffic; instead of it taking me 20 mins to get to work, it'll take me an hour & a half to do exactly the same 15kms
On Wednesday we're off to Durban for my cousin's wedding on Saturday. Looking forward to seeing my family again.
Then at the end of the month we're going back down to the coast to watch the South African leg of the A1 Grand Prix of Nations...
...According to the A1GP website, our Durban circuit is the only street race on this year's calendar. Created especially for A1, with 9 corners & 5 straights, it promises to be one of the fastest tracks A1 has seen yet. And because the track is situated right on the beachfront, the notorious Durban humidity is bound to take its toll on the drivers...An exciting & challenging race all round, to be sure! This is also the first international race Durban has held since the early 1980s, so I reckon it should be quite a blast.
I have such a huge crush on Nelson Piquet Junior (the driver for the Brazilian team), it's not even funny. How beautiful is this boy?!
My brother, his wife, & my gorgeous little nephew, Aidan, are also going to be out in SA & in Durbs on holiday that weekend. I can hardly wait to see them - especially Aidan

I don't smoke anymore, I used to when I was a lot younger.
They would probably have picked a fight over anything really - all they wanted to do was act cool.
