Am back at work after a much-needed year-end break. Had a fabulous NYE party at Lara & Mervin's place. Lee & Warren were very civil towards one another; Yolanda & I got on like a house on fire. She even bought me a bottle of my favourite perfume - "to make up for 2 Christmas's & 1 birthday that [she] had missed" [due to our fall-out in late 2004]. I was totally gobsmacked. She really is an amazing woman.

After a night of imbibing both alcohol & a whole host of recreational pharmaceuticals, we got home at 7am & spent the day in bed, trying to sleep ("trying" being the operative word here!) Needless to say, my sleep routine hasn't been quite the same since...

Went to a braai (BBQ) at the Da Costa's house last night. It was nice to see how much Lorraine's 3 boys have grown & changed in the past 3-&-a-half years since I stayed with the family, when I first moved up to Jo'burg.

It's now the 3rd day of the new year & I am fighting a fever blister (unsightly little buggers) on my bottom lip Must've been from someone I kissed over the festive period. Hopefully it'll clear up before my cousin's wedding on 14th Jan.

Am going to continue perusing the "Fan Art" group now. As soon as I've got some time on my hands I plan on doing & posting some of my own charcoal drawings of my favourite SGs. Watch this space
