I seem to be having one of those introspective days today...

I was just outside on the balcony here at work having a quiet smoke, thinking of the book I want to write about my life - as an adopted child & my journey of self-discovery, as well as my loves & losses, psychological issues, & evolving sexuality. I plan to supplement the story with biographical paintings commemorating certain times & milestones in my life - something along the lines of Frida Kahlo's work. For those of you who would like to take a look at the most recent documented event in my life (apart from the death of Angie a few weeks back, which is right here in my SG journal), check out *Paula's Story*

Would YOU buy an autobiography of an "unknown" person (ie. normal, non-celebrity status), if the subject matter looked to be of interest to you??

Definitely. If you look at the biographies on the shelves in bookshops, a substantial number of them are on a specific subject or theme - obviously speaking to an audience who share the same interest.

Yours is a topic which surely is a heartfelt one to others with the same experience. smile

I have to add, that I like your writing style - here and as evidenced in "Paula's Story". You certainly have the ability. smile

I actually prefer autobiographies on people that aren't famous. I feel like their lives are somehow more touchable than a celebrity - they aren't living with the stigma of everybody watching them all the time - their mistakes are quiet and more poignant, their triumphs are more earthy and sympathetic. I would be interested in hearing your story, and I am sure there are lots of others who would too. smile
