This weekend has proven somewhat interesting. When I picked up my daughter yesterday, her mother informed that she was suspended from the school bus for 3 days due to making contact with another kid's head with her Cabbage Patch Doll. From what we can deduce, our daughter has a way of being pushy with her toys, and decided that her friend needed a hug from the doll, which probably translated into a resounding thwack that caused the bus driver to investigate. The punishment, I think, is cause another example of an overreactive school system, but both of decided to forgo any punishment of our own and just simply example the need to be a little more gentle with the puny mortal children.
Also, it seems my decision to hand over the reins of the pool hall to my brother in exchange for more time for more important projects was timed perfectly. The gas bill has somehow quintupled from last month! Previous bill: 70 dollars. Current bill: 300+ dollars. So glad that it's no longer my ulcer to nurse. There was also a mixed-up altercation last night that resulted in the cops being called; it was so nice to laugh at my brother's misfortunates at the pool hall once again, as being the leader sucks donkey balls.
Now that my weekends are free once more, I'm hoping to make some real progress on the book while staying on top of my schoolwork. I've been smoking what graded assignments that have been thrown at me so far, and I'm hoping on keeping it that way in order to raise my GPA up in order to have a handsome set of transcripts to woo any potential transfer schools.
