I'm burying another relative to cancer today; he shall not be the last one this year either. The newspaper last week said that my little town ranks within the top 20 most air-polluted small towns in the U.S. Who could imagine a town literally circumscribed by chemical plants would have such a problem? The whole south-western section of the state is like this of course; the area in which our capital is located is aloofly referred to 'Chemical Valley'. Cancer and natural causes are synonyms here, and just another reason to be added to the already gargantuan list of reasons to leave.

That's icky... I used to live near a town where the vast majority of children had asthma as a result of factory smoke. It's scary that air pollution can do that. :/

I edited my journal so it says who did the song. I'm sure it's someone else originally, though.
