I e-mailed the new proposal to my editor this morning, so it's just a matter of waiting for a greenlight. After that, we negiotate the contract and then we get down to business. I'm hoping to convince them to allow me to stretch it out into a series, which would mean steady work for the next few years while I try to establish myself in a more mainstream genre.

I have two mid-terms tomorrow and three papers and another mid-term due next week, albeit none of them will be very difficult to handle. Still, I'm having trouble finding time to get everything done lately, so I'm still somewhat worried that I'll be able to finish everything on time. It's no wonder that my stomach is in a permanent knot lately; I feel like I'm drinking more Pepto than I drink water.

My birthday is next saturday, although I never make much fuss about it; I'm not a birthday person. Everytime someone makes plans for my birthday, things just have a way of falling through, so I mainly just try to keep things quiet and private. My mom offered to take me out to a restaurant, but after the way she embarrassed me and stuck me with the check last year, I think I'm going to pass on that. The whole thing is just a giant pain in the ass for me; an obstacle on the way to Halloween.
