My dad is moving in with me today for a couple of weeks until he can get into his house. I have my reservations about how its going to be but he his my daddy and I love him so I'll put up with it smile

Yeah, the sooner the better. Since you already checked out of the relationship, he's just going to get hurt worse the longer it goes on. Just tell him the truth. He'll get over it eventually. I always do, it just takes some time.
