See that's the problem. He's grown used to not lifting a finger because you'll do it anyway. My advice is that you stop cleaning after him and tell him to do his part of the job.
As for the flu. I am totally against home remedies, they'll only make it worse so just get some rest and go to work as soon as you can. You know sometimes you just have to keep going even though you feel like a horse kicked you before running over you.
