Don't be a pussy. Initially stepping on someone's toes doens't mean that you're gonna get booted. I can understand why people got a little shirty- we get asked the question A LOT- but one little fracas probably won't mean that you're going to get you booted.

If you like this site so much, my advice would be to apologize to Portia via email, or just keep your head down and try searching the boards for topics that you wanna ask- they may have been asked before.
