Though Lynn Hershman Leeson has been creating her unique brand of digital art and work with artificial intelligence for 35 years I first discovered her work with her second feature film, Teknolust. That film featured Tilda Swinton playing four characters, a scientist and her four clones that needed semen to live.

But she has created hundreds of other works, from sculptures using wax and...

Darren Aronofskys The Fountain has been amazing experience for all involved, including me, when I got a chance to visit the set in early 2005. While I did get to walk on the famous tree ship set and feel that reality, I know that seeing the film will be a totally different experience. Now The Fountain graphic novel drawn by Kent Williams captures the powerful...

Steve Powers is blowing up. A Philadelphia native, in the early 90s Powers did enough graffiti to get a felony indictment against him. After pleading out, he moved his art from the city streets to inside a studio and is now one of the most celebrated graffiti-inflected artists in the world. He has shows all over the world. His latest work is a collection of...

Chip Kidd is one of those brilliant guys that not too many people know about. To learn his name you have to open up one of the books hes designed and look on the credits page. I love his work too: Both The Learner and The Cheese Monkeys. That's life as a graphic designer (and somewhat a web designer/programmer)

I live, breathe, sleep. eat, think, design. design. design. every day of my life....It's who I am:
a graphic designer + web designer + web developer + etc [designer]
obscured09:
Chip Kidd is a master of his craft. Simplicity of design at its finest.

Funny story, I bought my Aeon Flux t-shirt from him at the Comicon. He asked my opinion on who to play Aeon in a live action movie.

what did you say?

Sorry, just read your reply. The first person to pop into my head was a stripper I knew. So I just told him no one came to mind. He thought of Famke Jansen. This was right after her debut in Goldeneye.
