Harold Ramis is a comedy god. Those credentials were solidified early in his career as a writer/producer on SCTV. That was only enhanced when Ramis turned to the movies as a writer on Animal House, Meatballs and a director on such classics as Caddyshack, Vacation and Groundhog Day. In recent years Ramis has mostly concentrated on such studio films as Analyze This and Bedazzled.

When it comes to creating superhero action, comic book artist Bryan Hitch is up there with such legendary creators as Jack Kirby, Neal Adams, John Romita Jr., Alex Ross and Mike Mignola. Thats why Hitchs comic book series, The Ultimates co-created with writer Mark Millar, was Marvel and Lionsgates first choice to adapt to an animated movie. They cherry picked the best scenes and characters...

Umm . . . no.

I second that. But, I'm old school, so my list would be more Kirby, Adams, Romita (Sr.), and Curt Swan. But that's a discussion for the comics forum.

Honestly, though, I was very unimpressed by the TV ads I've seen for Ultimate Avengers, so I hope the full product is better. The animation looks very average and too anime influenced (in a bad way.) With what the whole Dini, etc. crew are doing for DC , Marvel needs to step up.

South African native Wayne Kramer blew the film industry away with his sleeper hit, The Cooler. That film ended up garnering Alec Baldwin an Academy Award nomination for best supporting actor. It also showed Hollywood that Kramer is a major player in the game. He has used all his skill to create the violent action/black comedy Running Scared. Paul Walker plays Joey Gazelle a low-level...

After creating many of the most brilliant music videos and the film Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind director Michel Gondry is considered by many to be one of the greatest film visionaries ever. His latest project, Dave Chappelles Block Party, is a bit more human and real. Back in 2004 after Dave Chappelle made his $50 million deal with Comedy Central he decided to...

Bill Hicks is considered by many inside and out of the comedy world as one of the greatest standup comedians who ever lived. Hicks started performing standup at the age of 19 and was immediately recognized as a dangerous comedian who attacked such sacred cows as the American dream, hypocritical beliefs and traditional attitudes to the point where two Vietnam veterans broke his leg after...

I remember my dad always used to play a comedy CD of his and I've thought his stuff was great ever since. But he was a huge potty mouth, haha.

To all of us people who grew up in the 70s and 80s it was impossible not to see and love Richard Donners films. Man or woman, one or more of your favorite films was Superman, The Goonies, Lethal Weapon and Ladyhawke. Throughout the 90s Donner continued with his Lethal Weapon series and even jumpstarted the Asian film craze working with the Wachowski brothers and...
