i swear by the creative zen vision:m. its top rated across the board. i can watch feature-length movies when i travel (battery = 14 hours of music or 4 hours of video). it plays avi, divx, xvid, wma, mp3, jpeg, etc. built-in fm radio. on-board digital recorder with built-in microphone. screen = 265,000 colors vs ipod's 65,000. make sure you get the tv cable (only $20 vs. $100 for ipod). i have a black one but they come in white pink blue and green too. if you want to buy music online, you can use pretty much any service except for itunes. mtv's urge is integrated into windows media player 10 and sync's up with the creative player. its a killer product. ive had mine for almost 4 months. the best part is you can just drag and drop files into it (or right click on a file/folder has 'send to player').

Hellboy has always been my favorite comic since it came out. Ive always loved mignolas very angular artwork and plain colors, no photoshop effects or 1000 layers of shading, just great art and great storytelling. Ive also always been a fan of HP lovecraft, vampires, fairy tales and old war stories so maybe thats why the stories are so enjoyable for me.

The only thing I cant stand are the hellboy books drawn by some other artist, I really cant stand anyone elses rendition of hellboy.

Ill be honest though, the movie was a real disapointement and while I think the hellboy character was pretty spot-on, the rest felt like it was thrown together in half an hour. Id much rather see a small animation series then a cgi movie...

As a musician who grew up in the 60's and 70's, and mostly suffered thru the 80's, my mind was blown by the Pixies when I first heard them. Black Francis was writing something NEW. Actual new music (at the time.)
NOBODY (in my mind) was doing what he was doing. I tried to get my friends to understand, they didn't.
They were mostly into Jane's Addiction (another great band.)

From my first show in 1989 at the Warfield in San Francisco, I've loved their musical ideas, was thrilled (though not surprised) to see the following year that David Bowie was a huge fan of theirs, and thanked god (or someone like him), to see that Kurt Cobain was hip to, and influenced by them.

I must say, Thank You for being interested in THE ABOMINABLE APOTHECARY, I read most of your interviews, and, after the people you have spoken to? I do not think I will offend you by asking you to take the 3 day pass I give out, and 13 questions (basically just to see what your head likes as far as Heavy Horror is concerned) and to give new, potential members a way to see what they are gettin into before they commit....(We take things serious in there...)

This, is of course, My way of Thanking You, Had I known that you were this interested in Horror, I would have offered you a membership...Just cause. But no....I say let em come to me...(I know, I really wish I could be as pushy as I am said to be!)
