Finished me stint of street surgeries with those who refuse to take shelter offered; we have something approaching 400 bed spaces for homeless - in differing hostels (some "dry", few "wet", etc.) but we also have a hardcore who for various reasons - mostly mental health ones - refuse any roof. So, every year, we organise a doc, a dentist, a chiropodist, some counsellors, some drug support people (mainly for clean works and advice) and a few well-meaning admin old farts like me, and give em a "M.O.T." and a fucking good meal or four!
Makes me feel better, never mind what it does for them !! :-)
