So I finished my first novel ever! Of my own choosing, I finished one book for English ONCE by myself, that was also a quite exciting time. But that book was given to me so it doesn't really count. But now I can say I read! I already have two books in my possession to start so I don't have lag time. I am also looking for a copy of Dune because Sophie made it sound so appealing . I also want to find this book I remember hearing about a long time ago called "Nigger," which is a book about the word nigger. I have recently thought a lot about the word and me being half black makes me feel a little like I should be educated about this stuff *shrug* whatever I want to read it. Although I can't locate it's existence, and I am embarrassed to go up to some one who works at a book store and say "hey have you heard of the book nigger?" When they will probably find the book that I found and it's not the right one which will lead to a conversation about them not knowing the book nigger and they probably will struggle to say nigger and blah blah blah... So yeah I want to find that...

So true... That is the only book I remember finishing or caring about and that was in the 9th grade... I had not finished a book by myself up until the 9th grade! And after that was 11th grade with The Poisonwood Bible. I can count the number of books I have finished on three fingers, that would be... three . I am working to change that.
