hey now!

it's a gorgeous day here in chicago...after a few days of rain it's as if flowers blossomed from out of nowhere! bright green leaves are popping up on the trees...it's really nice to see after a looong winter. we're looking forward to lounging at our fav outdoor hangouts...sipping cocktails...noshing on vegan crumpets and tea. i've realized after two winters here in chicago, that i totally took the weather back home for granted. the weather was almost always lovely...but here in the midwest, after a long winter, you really look forward to spring. i never really understood the concept of spring fever before!! we have to buy a couple of bikes so we can ride along the lake. good times. although the lake can never replace the ocean...its soooo not the same!! heading to the beach every weekend...staking out our territory and setting up our compound heading into the water with our boards...there certainly aren't waves at the lake!!! either way though, spring has sprung and good times are coming.
