so, I got to see the DSO perform today. for free. over a nice bowl of Tortilla soup. at work.

yep. chrysler brought in the whole Detroit Symphony Orchestra to play at tech plaza in the chrysler tech center. it was pretty cool. I stood down right behind the timpani player. chatted with one of the contrabassists about string selection and how much a C extension costs(about $1200. which is about what my whole bass is worth, more or less. yikes). also, their tubist is cute as hell. at least the one who played today was.
