Continued Continuously

It flutters stutters past me

Catching grasping toying

Almost flirtatious with a hint of

Coy cruelty

Dancing, prancing, playing

With wild swirls of abandon

It caresses my face, clothes,

That tree and all its thousand leaves

It waves the flag at me with

Careless joy

The birds take flight

Leaping swooping twirling

Along its smooth waves and currents

Enjoying the brief respite randomly...

Dance of Seasons by Anarkiti

With

a puff

of effervescent air

the first tenuous gasp

of Spring arrives.

The subtle nod of Snowdrop

flirts

with the quaver of

cheerful Crocus

as they join

duets and zephyrs of Freesia.

Flounces of Mona Lisa Anemones

and

debutante Tulips

you have a poet warrior but you are a romantic poet....

anarkiti:

Ever get a song that sticks in your head for days?

Somehow it starts off as catchy and strangely compelling, especially one specific line.
Then a few days in, with it looping continuously in your mental soundtrack, it is no longer so cool.
You start to dread that one frikkin line that has slowly lost all meaning as it hovers over you like
a dark...

oh, absolutely. i mean, i'm not too worried about getting a job, because i work as a waitress now and i think that'd be easy to land, but last time i moved out there it was without enough money to sustain me and things got pretty pathetic. i want to avoid that this go round!!

It's the price you pay to live in a paradise! So worth it though! I used to live on Vancouver Island, in a tiny village called Brentwood Bay. It was a 15 minute bike ride from Butchart Gardens. What a dream place it was. smile

Thanks for sharing your story and your words of encouragement. It's all going to get better, it has to, right?

Wow. I think my fever broke. {feels forehead} That was nuts! I don't normally get sick and certainly not at that speed of "affliction" and then recovery. At around 8ish last night I started to feel a bit "off" and by midnight I had raging chills, sweats and muscle cramps all over my body. I took a cool bath around 1 to lower my temperature...
