Yeah, I've been too depressed about things to even update this journal. i don't know what to say, this fuckin country sucks, we actually elected this dumbass? well time to put our efforts to something meaningful, new tactics of disruption and resistance must be developed.
In the meantime, I think I might get an internship at the Women's Environmental and Development Organization which focuses on women's equality, in respect to social and economic justice and the eradication of poverty. They do work with the UN to do things Bush will probably reject. But the internship is a good outlet for me to put my energy, especially b'cuz the group deals with all the issues surrounding globalization that i've been studying about in my crazy leftie college. So i think it will be good for me, plus i want to hang out with more cool women who are organizing. i need to do something and meet people and this will help....for it is too easy for me to despair and sink into depression and feel powerless when things are as fucked up as they are, but i know what it really takes is the drive to resist despair and continue on even when it may feel hopeless, if we didn't do that and those who have struggled for change throughout history didn't do that, nothing positive would ever be accomplished.
