Well, the cheeky wench did blow me out on account of some minor ailment or another. I considered the idea that it was an excuse, but she seemed genuinely interested in meeting up next week. She texted me conversationally today though, so I'm guessing everything is fine with that.
In other news it is just as well that I didn't meet her up on tuesday and get hideously drunk, cos first thing on wednesday morning I get a call from my mother telling me she's done her back in. She broke it falling off a horse when she was 21 and ever since then it's gone everyso often. Used to happen about once a year when I was growing up, but she's not done it in for about 6 years or so. She went on a course of injections and htey seemed to do the trick.
So I've had to run home and play nurse! How the hell I am going to make rent while off work I have no idea, but that always seems to happen just when I am getting my head above water. Still, I am adamant: NO OFFICE JOBS FOR ME!

Sorry to hear about your mom. Mine broke her ankle bad about a year ago. She is still going into surgery and physical therapy. Of course, since depression comes with that, she is only recently back to her normal self. I had to play nurse for a while myself, but I didn't mind because my mom is cool.
