Last week was my birthday. I think it might be the last one I ever own up to, as next year will be... *shudder*. Can't even say it!
Still, had a lovely day, excellent company and more than my fair share of boozing which is what birthdays are for isn't it?
I can't help but feel like crunch time is arriving, and fast. I suppose birthdays, particularly significant ones, are a natural time to reflect on the past and future, and where you are in your life. i guess i feel like the time for me to make some big life decisions about things, and work out where I'm truly going in various aspects of my life. I much prefer to sail along regardless to be honest, but alas I'm just not the sort of person that can sustain that for very long. My mind tends to wander back to big defining questions and the like.
Still, all that said I'm trying to not get too serious about things, and carry on trying to live a productive and fun life, and let the big questions take care of themselves. After all, I'm not old yet!!

Still, having your fave peeps around you plus booze is the right thing for a special occasion like that so I'm glad you enjoyed it
So does that mean that I'm more than 5 years your senior? I really don't feel it should be that way around at all, what with all your wisdom!!
Anyway, glad you had a good one and I don't think there's anything to shudder about either; 40's is the new 20's or so I've been told!
