Whew...
The Southern Fried Flicks Film Festival is finally done. We had a great third year and hopefully we learned a lot as well. Now I have to concentrate on creating our midnite movie series. It'll run during the summer and I'll probably do a zombie night, a rock n' roll night, an asian horror night, and a john waters night. Now I just have to figure out how to get the whitebread milkheads to approve it.
Other than that lif eis as hectic as usual. I've been watching the films of Toshiaki Toyoda lately. His films touch on the vein of disaffected Japanese youth, and feature some of the most interesting and arresting potraits of such characters I've ever found.
Also, if you haven't seen Children of Men, Old Joy or Pan's Labyrinth, do yourself a favor and get to a theater.
