I am starting to think I've lost my drive for film. I have been finding myself more and more drawn to photography recently. And, actually, I've always kind of had more of a love for the single moment captured than the whole of it, with movement and all. I love the idea and artistic freedom they both give me, and would love to persue both equally...but at this moment, I feel more attached to photography.
I have no idea what kind of bearing this has on my film-schoolness right now. Besides a lack of motivation, that is...in the long run, probably nothing.
The deciding factor of course is that I go up of portfolio review at the end of this semester. I am so afraid of the prospect of failing portfolio review...I don't think I've been this scared of anything in my entire life. If I fail, maybe I'll drop out of the University and apply to art school wherever ectasia ends up going to grad school...

Have you tried videography?
that would be the best of both worlds.
I think you should go for the photography idea... i mean whats it going to hurt?
If you like both, do it!!
It could be a phase thing. Right now it's photography, then something will spark your interest to do a film project.
That's how we work. Keep it to where it's something you enjoy and not feeling like you HAVE to do it.
