as for doing a road trip alone...i usually do it alone. last year, i drove out to colorado by myself (from NJ) it was one of the best experiences of my life. that might be a bit much for you to do. but its not a bad thing, at all.

I would go to work everyday pissed off acting like I hated my job, acting like I hated dealing with everyone until someone gave me good advise. STOP BITCHING and do something about it. Do the things that make you happy. Trust me it only gets harder. I had a friend that had a son that was 2 years younger than me that Killed himself over some girl that didnt want to be with him anymore. I had to work with my friend everyday and see his pain. His son didnt understand how much his family and friends loved him. He took the easy way out.
