I keep putting off this blog because I want to post some pics the boy took of the islands. But, I am still trying to get them off the memory card they are on and onto the laptop. But, I swear I will get to it.
I love the island. Our Apartment is right on the beach. There is a mango tree right outside. I swim in the ocean every day. I often see dolphins playing in the surf. The place is enough like the states that I don't feel to lost. But, exotic enough that it feels new.
The weather has taken some getting used to. It is always hot and humid. Plus, it rains quite a bit. Not like huge storms but just little ones that pass through.
The one down side is that it is very hard to get anything but basic stuff. There is a store that has food and basic supplies. But, other than that, there is nothing. We were told it takes about 6-8 weeks to get anything sent here. I really hope our stuff gets here soon. Then we will have the other computer and I will not have to worry so much about keeping the laptop running.
