Reflections of a sad day (about life, death, and everything in between)

The big black dog is back. And it's growling.

Maybe you know this, but I've bipolar disorder, which means my mood changes drastically from a hyper state called mania to depression episodes. It's under control now, and I'm living an almost normal life. However, I suffer from insomnia sometimes, my brain can't shut down like a regular brain would. I was in such a state from Thursday to Friday: I wasn't sleeping very well, and my noodles were shaken.

So I was already on the depression episode of my bipolar cycle. Friday was a terrible day, and sadly Death paid us all a visit.

Take care of the people you love, especially when they need you most. And if you're depressed, don't be ashamed to ask for help. You're not a burden, you're loved, you're not alone. Don't you let this monster make you think otherwise. Put it on a leash, make it go back to be a puppy so small and gentle that it won't be able to hurt you anymore.

And never lose hope. Brighter days will come.

I always remember a phrase Sam told Frodo in The Lord of the Rings, and I think it's so perfect:

' There's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo, and it's worth fighting for. '

Yes, Samwise the Brave was right. There's some good in this world... There are good people, good food, good moments to be lived. Never stop fighting. Don't lose hope. When you think everything is lost, life can always surprise you.

I'm just venting here to take this out of my chest, but I hope it can be of some help to you.

Better days will come, my friend. Stay with us. Stay safe.

Oh my dear, I'm sorry for your loss. Just like Samwise says and also Gandalf "it's the little things that keep away the darkness" I'm paraphrasing a bit on his quote but yes there is good in this world.

I perfectly understand what you mean. Sometimes it seems to me to live on an emotional rollercoaster ❤
