**Smellin'
Ya'll had some good choices of smells...for me, my favorite is a 3 way tie - 1) horses (horse + tackle/saddle + manure + hay), 2) blacktop after a summer rain 3) a Butterfly Bush...or maybe Hyacinth, I'm torn.

**Update visuals
I stole this system of updating categories & astericks (**) from Vixen cuz she's so damned cute with her updates. And it's organized.

**Weekend
I had a suprizingly good weekend!
Fri - Last minute Dinner plans with Shamunda, his girlly, and 2 of her friends. (Thanks for the attempted set up, dude, but that girl's not for me). Some new restaurant where they have a total random selection of items on the menu...dim sum and steak and pasta and greek salads. Nope, it wasnt a diner...it bills itself as the best wine bar in NYC. I dunno bout that.

Sat- I went to the Mermaid Parade! Actually, I got there like 20 minutes after it ended. Truth was I spent all moring & part of the afternoon invoiceing my clients, so hey, I missed it, but for a DAMNED good reason, money! So I hung out for a while on the boardwalk, grabbed a drink, saw all sorts of costumes, etc...hung out there for a bit, then took the F train up to Prospect Park, grabbed some dinner & couldnt find my friend Dory! We were supposed to meet there, but I ended up getting a good seat up front for the 3 canadian bands of The Sadies, Stars, and The New Pornographers. All 3 were great. I'll upload pix later.

Sun- Went up to Connecticut to do some manual labor & enojy my niece & nephew. He's 9 months old & he's the happiest little kid in the world. All he does is drag himself around the floor by his arms. She's a little tyrant & is funny as hell. I shaved down 2 doors with the plane I bought my bro in law for fathers day (only 7 more doors to go!), set up all electronics for them, and installed some shades. Then we went to a huge mexican buffet, which was ammmazing.

***Miscilaneous
-My client is trying to make me eat a $4000 over run in our budget. Fuck.

-Every one go give Krrn some love, she needs a little pick-me-up.

-Driving question:
You're on a mid-sized highway, driving 60 or more miles per hour. You're approaching a bend in the road, a good sized turn. Do you:
a) Slow down with the brakes
b) Do nothing, just sorta coast thru it (no brakes, no gas)
c) Give it gas & speed up into the turn

what else do you need in life? Some good wine, and soft bed to jump on. I am afraid of tornadoes. Tornadoes and aliens, that's it. I have to watch every show on both topics though.

hmmm... you don't know about me and my photos. I am ALL ABOUT visual recordkeeping. My screensaver is the random picture viewer, which is set to show all the pictures I have in my computer from parties, travels, and everyday events... everything since I got my digital camera. Not only does it keep these events clear in my mind, but it also keeps me in touch with my friends. Anytime I am feeling down, if I am feeling friendless and alone, I see my screensaver and all the awesome things I do, and it lifts my spirits. So the photo album is for me.

But it is also for my friends. Every time I have a party, a crowd gathers spontaneously around the computer, watching the screensaver. They are watching for pictures of themselves, of people they know, and places they've been. They comment on the other photos. They say "wait! wait! go back!" and laugh and make jokes and tell stories.

All of the pictures before March 2004 are film camera pictures, and I don't have a scanner. The ones in the albums, from 1995 up to 2002, I know them fairly well. I look through at old friends and recall old times and say "wow! my hair was long." But there is a gap... 2002-2004. The gap is sitting on my couch right now, in many envelopes. I don't want to let that part of my life fade out into vague memory.

I think today's project will be picture albums.
