Religion is a pretty funny thing.
For me, it's mostly cultural, but there are a lot of intertwining areas where religion & culutre combine.
For others, I guess it's not that way. I was being a cool boss, and last week offered my peeps the day off on Friday if they wanted to do whatever christians do on Good Friday, or pre for Easter or whatever. They all think I'm crazy for asking.
As if it's some sorta mistake to assume they would dance around or sulk or something on the day their 'saviour' died for their sins...I mean, shit, it's this sorta thing exactly why they've been killing off my ancestors (& plenty of muslims, too) for like 2000 years? All that animocity, all that hatred, and now they'd rather collect a paycheck for 8 hrs of work rather than celebrate Good Friday? Shit, if you guys are that crazy, maybe we can pay you all alot of money & you'd give us back all of the people & history & traditions you killed off?
