Modest mouse is Tonight! I kept thinking it was Sunday for some reason. I am dumb.
Tomorrow I'm getting most of my stuff, putting it in my car, and taking the trip down to Tucson.
I got really trashed last night (so far I have been successful in my quest to be completely trashed and stupid every night.) I dialed almost everyone in my phonebook and tried to freestyle rap to them at four in the morning on their answering machines. I got some very interesting phone calls from people this morning. I kept hitting my head, like "why, oh why did i call this person drunk???".
BUUUUT a REALLY good thing happened. I tried to call Craig, an old and really wonderful friend that I used to work with and live next to, and i reached him at six in the morning. This morning I got a message back from him saying, "it was really nice to hear from you. Call me back. I misssss you.". If you know Craig, have ever met him, have ever heard of him, you will know that he is absolutely one of my favorite people in the whole entire world and just hearing from him brought the biggest smile to my face. So drunk dialing ended up being pretty productive. I think as soon as i get back to Tucson i'm gonna start hanging out with him much more. We used to hang out almost every night for like a year and i just miss him terribly.
His "fuck the world and all your problems" attitude is JUST what I need right now.
Im much more optimistic today. SCREW being pessimistic. It has gotten me nowhere. Everything is gonna work out fine.
