So, I'm knitting a scarf! It's yellow. Kind of a mustard yellow. I'm making it really long and narrow....I think I'm going to put a hello kitty patch on it. You know how I love hello kitty! I think we need to start an SGOhio knitters club...how sweet would that be!? Because I really want to learn how to knit things other than just scarves...but I don't know how. Hats, mittens, socks, blankets...it would be a party!
So I've been wanting to shoot another set, but I'm just not sure how I feel about it anymore.
I've been reading so many awful things about the site. I was reading tea's blog and she made a really good point about how SG is just milking this whole hopefuls thing for all it's worth and it's all about money. It seems like many people have not been too happy with the direction the site is going in. I haven't really made up my mind about it all yet. Not to mention the whole nana thing. I thought it was a really interesting set, kinda creepy...and I can see how people would be turned off by the whole concept...but some people might be into it....so does that make it wrong? I don't know. I just thought that SG was about the freedom to express oneself, but maybe there is such a thing as crossing the line? I don't really know my stance on it...I'm just writing I guess.
I'm becoming discouraged now that so many beautiful girls with amazing sets are getting rejected. It seems like something has changed, and either SG is much more picky, or they are using this hopefuls section to their advantage. I mean shit, it's a business...and if they can post beautiful sets without paying...why wouldn't they? ohhh...the world we live in today...gotta love it
OH-but I might be getting my tattoo finished tomorrow! I'm going with my friend Sam to see this guy Mike...I forget the name of the place. But he did this really cool lotus flower on her back and it's really well done. SOOO I'm going to have him quote me a price, and if he has time after he does her tat tomorrow, then I might FINALLY finish mine!!! yay!!! I'm excited.
AND I got to play with a Chow today at the pet store. She was fluffy. It was fun.
