Tonight i dine with family, and tomrrow I dine as well. We shall have full bellies.
Today I need to work on some DIY clothing projects I've started and also drawings in my sketchbook. I've decided not to head to my studio today. It's a holiday, i'm staying at home! BUt I have my sketchbook, pencils and pens here, so I might as well do something!
As for the DIY clothing I have started a really cute (but short) skirt. I'm hoping it will turn out ok. It has some what of a lolita feel to it. I can't believe that a square with a hole in the middle could make such a cute ruffly skirt. The hole in the middle is where my waist is. I've started knitting a section to sew on to the hole so that I have a waist band. Then I'm taking some of the yarn I knitted and using it to add embellishments. And then I'm going to find black and deep plume lace (matches the purpley yarn), to sew along the bottom.
At first I was going to hand sew everything, but I realize that I have a sewing machine. I'll probably set it up in the living room area, no one uses the table for eating any ways.
Can't wait to start making more clothes.
