Burn Berlin! Burn!

I'm back in Berlin this morning after 4 days in London. Before I say anything else I've got some things to say about London.

Random Thoughts About London
1: SOOooOoOoOoOoo Fucking Expensive.
2: Neil's Yard is the place to be. Vegan food, w00t.
3: Camden Market? I don't get all the hype. Maybe I went to a different Camden Market than you did, but the one I was at had a bunch of flea market junk that I would never buy in the first place. One big tourist trap. It's a great place to sit and people watch though.
4: Can someone explain to me why the hell the tube shuts down so early? I swear, the city is like New York, but public transportation dies before midnight. I will say though, navigating the tube is EXTREMELY easy.
5: Rad clubs, and cool people. I heard 2 of the best sets I've heard in a long time at the same club in the same night. They stay open very late and everybody dances. Someone even walked me home, which was like a mile and a half away cause I couldn't find the bus I needed.
6: How the hell is it possible to sell shrooms legally?? They are for sale on the street EVERYWHERE! surreal surreal
7: I eavesdropped on the best conversation I've heard in a long time. Some urban hippie dude and an older conservative asian woman outside a healthfood store waxing philosophical. I am the constant observer.
8: I'm going to go ahead and make the assumption that all London hostels are gross. I stayed at two of them, and they were reminiscent of bad summer camp dorms at best. The hostel I'm at in Berlin is like a 5 star hotel compared to those places.
9: You meet the coolest people when you're traveling alone.
10: I had a train ticket booked to go 2 hours north to see the SGUK Burlesque and hang out with some of the SGUK members, but I was tired and not interested in dealing with more travels so I skipped it. Sorry guys!

It was a weird feeling being back in Berlin. This place leaves a weird taste in your mouth, and I'm still having a hard time putting my finger on it. I wasn't sure if I wanted to be back when I was leaving London, but I felt really good as my plane touched down in Germany. You know that feeling that you get after you've been traveling and you get back home? That comfort zone feeling? I got that for some reason. Berlin is interesting because from the surface in a lot of ways it seems a little sleepy, but the city is so alive and buzzing!

I've been up since 10pm last night. Getting back here has been kind of a bitch and a half. Since the tube in London shuts down so early I had to get a bus ticket. So I had a bus ticket to go to the airport at 3:30 am. I get a cab to take me to the stop, stand outside for 15min after the bus was supposed to be there and decide it's not coming. Hail another cab to another place and wait again, and one finally comes. I spent US equivalent of 30$ on cabs over a very short distance, but finally made it to the airport.

It's sunny and nice today in Berlin, and I need to go out in hunt of some breakfast. Different cultures are so strange when it comes to food. Germany is really fond of hotdogs with mustard and bread for breakfast. London seems to like baked beans and mushrooms a lot. Berlin also really likes a drink which is a combination of sparkling water and apple juice. Not sure what I'm going to do today, but tomorrow is Tresor! W00t. Maybe I'll see my dominatrix friend again? =p

Cheers or whatever! <3

Well, I just wasn't sure if that was what you considered to be shite. I thought you might have ridiculously high expectations, or something.
