So it's 8 21 in the morning. I woke up at 7am for some reason so I'm alreadz up and showered. I'm laughing right now because if you've seen Hedwig then you might remember the gummy candy he eats.. well they have that brand at the front desk of the hostel.

I went out roaming by myself for a little bit last night to find some Indian food. Most people are pretty good at speaking English so it's not too hard to get your point across. After dinner I stopped by a record store and got the inside scoop on local clubs so I have something to do later this week. They were selling 3.5 floppy discs with videos on them and I almost bought one, but I remembered "who the fuck even has a 3.5 drive anymore?".

I ended up roaming the city last night with a gang of kids from the hostel. They are all surprisingly young as I find myself being in the older half. There were about 12 or so of us... canadians, americans, australians, japanese, belgian. They were on the hunt for a free pub crawl, but it ended up just being us wandering the city and checking everything out. I'm staying right by the TV Tower, which is a huge landmark in the city. It's weird looking at it, because I saw a guy base jump off of it once and now I'm standing in front of it.

Did you know Berlin has a whopping 25% unemployment rate? I was shocked to hear that. The city government is crazy.. if you are laid off from your job you get 90% of your wages for A YEAR AND A HALF. No wonder unemployment is so high..everyone is on an extended vacation.
