I was surrounded by about 8 burly looking street kids tonight as I unlocked my bike.
turns out they just wanted to look at my backpack
I guess living in a place where people are always out to get you for 15+ years will do that to you. I am naturally suspicious of everyone, and now that I live in a city with very low crime, I think it's time to ease up a little bit.

Those backpacks are great. I get surrounded by burly looking street kids all the time. Usually it turns out that they recognize me from work. They almost never actually say anything. Just kind of whisper and stare. Apparently some people are shocked to see that strippers actually go out in public during the day.
