Okay, well first things first, before I discuss any real topics of business I have to say that I'm typing this update on a MAC, and Macintosh can eat a dick.I mean for realz... gimme a SMP G5 or something, But I'm on an iMac and it's slow as balls. The whole god damn page has to load before I can do anything. I swear, I'd rather be using a 200mhz pentium mmx running Windows ME *shudder* than this shit. Okay, sorry had to get that out.
So now down to business. First of all, no i am not dead, and yes I'm still here. As some of you may already know, there are 2 main reasons why I haven't been on much lately, one is the not so recent job change that I made that bumped up my salary but put restrictions on my internet usage, the other is the fact that I recently moved to a new house, and it's been hell getting Internet access, hence the whole reason that I'm on a fucking Mac right now instead of my lovely dual processor intel box. The moving process has been long and, not exactly fun. I spent 3 hours last night in the rain taking furniture apart and sorting through all the fucking recycling shit that my room mates have created (fucking hippies) , and I still have a ton more to do before I'm settled.
I've been missing all my friends out there in SG land, but I have to be honest and say that more and more when I come here I feel like a fucking alien, I mean who the fuck are all these new people? I mean, it's great for the site as a whole I'm sure, but damn, I don't recognize ANYONE. It's like all the people that were regulars are gone, or maybe they just changed names. It makes for a pretty weird SG experience.
Mmmmm... the rain falls one more night in Portland, to soothe my soul. There's a windchime right outside my door that has been playing non-stop ever since I got home, and the candles stacked around the fire place have been dancing with my music casting shadows across my face. There really is something truly spectacular about the power that something as simple as water has over my mind and my emotions. When I was planning on moving to this city everyone tried to warn me about how much it rains, but it was one of the things I looked forward to the most. There really is nothing quite like a rainy afternoon, and walking through the city with your hoodie on to shade you from the rain... or in the summer when it rains after a hot day, and the steam rises up from the streets, the hot smell of pavement in the thick summer air. I remember one time when I was 12, I was standing in the parking lot of the apartment complex that I lived in, and I watched as a solid sheet of rain crept up on me from across the street. Walking backwards at a steady pace, I could keep one hand in the rain, and the rest of my body dry, all the way up until I backed into a fence, and then I was soaked. I guess I just find amazement in some of the most basic things, but I love the rain. It's a part of me. And so with that, I shall return to the rain, the music, the windchimes, and my own thoughts.
Hopefully I'll have my computer up soon. Goodnight. XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO
