I put a spell on you
because you're mine
I dont care if you want me
cause i'm yours yours yours
anyhow
Welcome back to the land of disenchantment, welcome to Babylon, welcome to the candy coated lanes of this fine city where we become oblivious to anything other than our own concerns, needs, wants, and desires.
Ah yes it's true, one blissful week has come to a close as I return to my metropolitan life, work, computers, the city, cars, minimal human connection, and a phantom like desire to compete like a grade school brat to get to the front of the lunch line of life.
Burningman was magical, to say the least. A city of over 30,000 people all gathered through a common bond where diversity ranged from death rockers to drag queens, and class division disappeared as the poor man realized he has more wealth than the wealthy, and the wealthy humbled themselves in a land where the amount of money in their bank account became absolutely meaningless. A place where art took precedence over, and influenced everything that surrounded you... where colors of skin blended seamlessly and it's nearly impossible not to make a friend in every direction that you look. Trying to describe Burningman with justified accuracy is like trying to fill the grand canyon with tears, and I can't make it happen. All I can say is that it's something each of you need to experience for yourselves and come to your own conclusions, because I believe the experience will be different for everyone. From the gluttonous drug escapades of so many people I encountered to my own reflections on my life, you make it into what you want, but i believe it's safe to say no matter what your motivations and goals are you'll be hard pressed not to find beauty in such a creation.
I made quite an effort to hook up and at least meet the people from SG that I knew would be in attendance, but had minimal success. I did however manage to meet Fractal and her posse at the Clan Destino who were all extremely nice, and gave me one of my favorite gifts.. leaving her camp I ran into S5 and Olivia, and offered my assistance in building their dome but they had things under control. I searched and searched for Germany's camp with no success, and had roughly the same results when I was looking for BigDirtySean and L. I took about 500 pictures on my digital camera as well as approx. 75 pictures on disposables which i hoped to have up on the web by this morning.. but I realized when i got in last night that I packed my camera charger in a box that is still enroute to Portland and probably wont be here till Wed.. so i guess this forces me to reflect from a mental perspective and get a grips on how I feel before I dig into all the photos.. but rest assured I'll post a link when they go up.
I missed all my SG friends while I was gone.. and apparently I missed some makeout party or something in PDX?? I can't really find any details but it sounds like the last gathering turned quite sexual. Could this be true? So fill me in.. what did I miss while I was gone? What is new in your life? Actually.. fuck that.. those are boring questions.. Your task for today is to tell me about one thing you're passionate about, and why. This is my effort to get past your barrier if you couldn't tell. I have to go back to work now and catch up on what has been happening, but I expect some good insight into what drives all you freaks when I get back. So get to work!
