So they say that the qualities you see in other people are a reflection of how you see yourself. I think about this one alot, I'm still not sure I'm convinced that I really follow this statement, but it still makes me bite my tongue every time I'm about to criticize someone else, and think about what I was going to say.
Some times people amaze me at how crazy they can be. You think you know someone, or you expect a certain behavior from someone, and then WHAM! they do something that just throws you for a loop, and you're like WTF? Before I left Memphis, I was dating this girl who was a really good friend of mine for several years before we started dating. Well apparently she was trying to work some fucked up angle to get me to want to stay and be with her, so she started dating someone else and told me about it in a feeble attempt to get me to want to be in some competition with this other guy. Bad move. So that didn't fly at all, and along with several other things she did right before I left, it made me mad enough not to talk to her since I've left. So anyways, last night I get an email from her, and guess what the topic is? "Hey, which HDTV should I buy??" Yep you guessed it folks.. she's writing me to ask what fucking kind of television she should get. I know this is probably some weird attempt to spark conversation, cause she knows i'm an electronics geek, but PLEASE!
Actually the email caught me by suprise and dismay for a couple different reasons, 1 was just the fact of the email its self and the content, and 2 was just me realizing how different life is up here. I found myself sitting back and thinking "Why the fuck do you need that TV?? Think of all the amazing things you could do with $2000! Think of everything you should be doing instead of sitting on your ass watching TV!" It's just crazy how much life out here has affected me.. I love it. I haven't even plugged in my television since i moved out here, besides the fact that i think i'd still like to watch a movie every once in a while or at least have that capability, i'd totally sell my tv's. So anyways, point is the whole situation rated an 8 on the scale of "WHAT THE FUCK?!" I didn't reply, needless to say.. I'm still not sure if i'm going to.
Something I really cherish in my life is the ability to avoid drama, and the methods to which i work to achieve happiness. I really value the happiness that I have here, and fully appreceiate the people that bring me to that level. If you wanna bring drama into my life, prepare to have me walk away until you can return to a normal functioning state.
So here's a short weekend summary before I sign out:
Friday: Work, Work Out, Hung out with Eris
, Potluck, Hung out with Gingerlie
Saturday: Burningman Burningman Burningman, Danced @ Ohm
Sunday: Burningman Burningman Burningman, got my ears streched to 2g, chores.
So the thought for the day isnt really a thought, but more so just a couple words I'll be meditating on, and I want you to do the same.
-Think
-Respect
-Honesty

Yep, Courtney Love is indeed a member of the site. Do a member search on "courtney" - that's her. She's only got 6 comments, but it looks like they've expired from her profile. She was on MTV a while back and brought a couple of the SG's with her; not sure which ones right at the moment. Do a search on her on the Music board and they mention it. She's a unique individual, at the very least...
Your "friend" doesn't sounds like she has quite a few issues. If she really didn't want you to leave I think the best thing would have been to say so, hidden messages are too much work. Honesty is so much easier. Also if the somone gets mad at the use of honesty, well there isn't much they can do since it is the truth, and you can't change the truth. ok I'll stop sounding crazy now. Have a nice day at work and yoga and kung-fu, I'm going to Disneyland.
