He called Daniel? Its probably the most insignificant part of the tale yet it disturbed me the most. I dunno what to tell ya, there's nothing I can say that you don't already know. Also I'm sure you can hear, but i thought i would mention (mainly to break the seriousness) that the kitten has gone mental, I believe mainly due to sexual frustration. She is not the only one.
