...Well, its been too long for one of those revolutions to happen. When the masses laid with the sexual revolution during the late sixties, early seventies when the songs were about what these people stood for and proved that you can make a sound (dent) that is impossible to ignore.
Where are they now? Where are the sypmathetic masses that once arose when unprovoked conflict was waged. Who are the John Lennons of this generation. Where are the women and men who cared more about exposing the harsh reality through the thick fog of "white lies" and the V-chip that is the Gub'ment.
(...still with me?)
The point is, I want a revolution. I want people to care more about what is happening to their personal freedoms and remember we are supposed to be running the counrty. Technically, the constitution allots that we are a nation for the people and of the people. Our President shoul be dancing for us, he is public servant. But we are so used to the idea of him being the head of state. No matter how big a govenment, if the power belongs to the biggest mass that (thinks and) agrees.
But we don't collect to make our views heard and we just let them tell us what would be best for us all....I don't think the majority wants to control the oil of this planet. We just want to be safe.
We falsely believe that our government can keep us safe but the truth is: the more people in other countries hate us the more vaulnerable we are.
Chew on that the next time you hear a Creed song remember, they just got sued by two of their fans for sucking.
That is why my animosity lies with the people. If we wern't so submersive than we might be able to have our counrty back. Our counrty of freedom and not patriotism, a place where if you see something wrong with the picture you are'nt afraid to speak up because its your job as a citizen.
...Here's Tom with the weather.

revolution is missing from most popular music,
period.
luckily it exists in many forms and many genres
of music not commonly seen as popular music.
it's still out there, but we have to seek it out.
